Blacky Daylight • Senseless Thing

Dawn flares up over a city of steel, concrete and composite materials. It has long since become an independent self-replicating automated machine. A current flows through its electrical veins, which fills factories and industries with life, which create spare parts for the repair of the city. At sunrise, robots wake up and, feeding on the energy of the Sun, scurrying around, making it all impeccable and maintaining the infrastructure. The electronic brain center of the city has developed over time the ideal route maps for all interactions, became very effective and could, in theory, maintain the order for a thousand years, of course, in the absence of unforeseen circumstances. It endures climate and weather phenomena, or even uses it to its advantage, collecting rainwater suitable for widespread use in underground reservoirs, and on the surface into artificial lakes. The only thing the city could not find a use for were trees and green spaces, which were a constant source of garbage. He preferred to remove them and occupy these areas with solar panels and wind generators... By the way, there is one more thing... A senseless thing that the city strongly dislikes is biological life and people in particular. The latter annoyed him especially, constantly created countless human waste and were extremely ineffective, so he expelled them long ago and did not meet again since... The city was in its favorite state of peace and serenity, it was filled with itself and the completeness of its affairs. He was a perfectionist...
